Material choice for 3D printing
Ultimaker supplies PLA and ABS as printing materials. For the Ultimaker Original, printing with PLA is recommended. PLA is a biodegradable plastic and is therefore the easiest material to print with. For printing with ABS, a heated print bed is recommended, because ABS tends to warp if it cools too quickly. Therefore, according to the existing product information, the Ultimaker 2 is the better option when you want to print with ABS.
