The Form 3+ is a professional, reliable and user-friendly SLA printer for a wide range of applications. This successor to the Formlabs Form 2 uses a renewed light processing system for faster and better-looking prints. Each Form 3+ Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)™ 3D printer includes the essential tools required to start printing and one year of the Formlabs Pro Service Plan.

Completely revised print process

Formlabs has thoroughly renewed the Form 3+ internally. Reliability and the quality of printed parts have been further improved through Low Force Stereolithography (LFS). The build area has been slightly increased to 14.5 x 14.5 x 18.5 cm.

Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)

Low Force Stereolithography is an advanced form of SLA (Stereolithographic Apparatus). LFS uses linear illumination and a flexible resin tank, combined with a high-quality Light Processing Unit and an 85 micron laser. The Form 3+ prints models with layer thicknesses between 25 and 300 microns.

Low Force Stereolithography provides a more consistent print process and more repeatable print results. The finish is combined with easy-to-remove support. The integrated adaptive layer thickness offers a balance between detail and print speed.

The Form 3+ includes 20 integrated sensors for improved ease of use. The design has been updated, some parts can be replaced quickly and the resin tank has been completely renewed.

Continuing proven quality

Not everything has changed. The build platform of the Form 2 can be used for the Form 3+, and all resin cartridges are also compatible with the Form 3. The automatic refill system remains.

For business environments, Formlabs has added remote printing. Monitoring prints in PreForm and Dashboard was already possible; this function also makes it possible to collaborate in teams, view each other’s progress and set priorities for urgent prints.
