MetaQuip MQ6040 Lasersnijder LITE 2 PLUS

The MetaQuip LITE2 series is a desktop CO2 laser machine for laser engraving and laser cutting. The MQ6040 LITE2 PLUS has a standard working area of 600 x 400 mm and is available with 60 W laser power. For applications mainly focused on engraving, the LITE series is also available with 40 W. A version with a 400 x 400 mm workbed is also available. The machine is laser class 1 and is usually available directly from stock.

MQ6040 LITE2 Desktop CO2 laser machine

With the LITE2 you can make laser engravings and laser cuts in many organic materials. Examples include wood, leather, cardboard, paper and plastics such as acrylic/PMMA.

The LITE2 is placed on a worktable and takes up little space. The machine is supplied complete so you can start immediately. The supplied software is suitable for Windows, OSX and Linux and is intended for use with limited training.

In laser cutting or laser engraving, an invisible infrared laser melts or vaporises the material. Cutting uses higher laser power; engraving uses lower laser power. During engraving, the laser vaporises the top layer, changing the surface structure.

Laser class 1 – safety

Laser processing uses a high-power invisible infrared laser to cut or engrave materials. If used incorrectly, lasers can be dangerous to eyes and skin.

The LITE2 is laser class 1 certified. This means the machine is safe during normal use and can be used in many locations without additional laser safety measures.
