Production and quality control

All colorFabb 3D printing filaments are produced in colorFabb’s own production facility in the Netherlands. Because no external parties are involved in the production of colorFabb filament, colorFabb can ensure consistent quality on every order.

During production, colorFabb uses laser systems to measure the filament diameter in real time. The diameter is measured more than 1000 times per second. ColorFabb guarantees a tolerance of ± 0.05 mm for both 2.85 mm and 1.75 mm colorFabb 3D printing filament.

Within minutes after production, a spool of colorFabb 3D printing filament is sealed airtight in double barrier foil. The cardboard shipping box is also sealed. This keeps the filament fresh and ready for 3D printing after unboxing.

Testing in the in-house test lab

The colorFabb test lab has a wide selection of popular 3D printers. ColorFabb continuously tests on these printers to check the quality of the materials and to develop new materials. If you are unsure how to print with colorFabb materials on your 3D printer, contact support@colorfabb.com .
