Ultimaker CPE (co-polyester) is suitable for complex technical prints, functional prototypes, models, mechanical parts and short-run manufacturing. The material combines chemical resistance, toughness, dimensional stability, reasonable stiffness, high strength and high impact resistance.

Transparent option available
CPE is also suitable for bridging large openings. For good results, CPE should be printed at higher temperatures, between 230°C and 250°C. For this reason, Ultimaker includes an extra PTFE Coupler with every spool of CPE.
CPE and CPE+ have similar performance characteristics. CPE+ also offers higher temperature resistance and increased impact strength. Thanks to the material profiles in Cura for Ultimaker 2+, printing parts and prototypes is easier and more reliable.
