3D4Makers PPSU

Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is an amorphous high-performance thermoplastic with better impact resistance and chemical resistance than PEI. PPSU can be used at temperatures up to 180 °C. PPSU has higher hydrolysis resistance than other amorphous thermoplastics, measured by steam autoclaving cycles, and has virtually unlimited steam sterilizability. The material resists common acids and bases over a broad temperature range.

Applications include aerospace, aircraft, automotive, dental, medical applications and surgical instruments. The PPSU filament is based on Solvay technology.

The 3D4MAKERS PPSU filament has unique properties because it does not come into contact with water during the production process and is directly packaged in vacuum packaging. These properties make the 3D4MAKERS PPSU filament particularly suitable for use in FDM and FFF 3D printers. The material has excellent adhesion between layers, resulting in a strong improvement of impact resistance, strength, durability and the printing process.

The PPSU filament produced by 3D4MAKERS meets ISO 10993 for medical applications and meets European regulations EC No. 1935/2004, EC No. 2023/2006 and EC No. 10/2011 concerning plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, and is also compliant with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requirements for food contact. The colorants used by 3D4MAKERS to colour the filament also meet these European regulations.
